| About Us I’d like to take a minute to tell you just a little about myself. I was a DJ working for a small company before I was a Christian, and after I accepted Christ it didn’t take long to figure out that my faith and the environment my night job created weren’t going to agree. Something had to change. Someone smarter than me once said, “If you want not to fall, then you ought not walk in slippery places.” I wanted to start a business that honored Jesus Christ, and sought to be the Christian alternative to the mainstream music and agenda that currently pervades our society. I wanted to build my foundation on the Lord God. I use Cornerstone entertainment from Ephesians 2:14-22. By infusing Christian hits from nearly all genres as well as utilizing the “clean” secular chart toppers from today and old, I seek to provide entertainment that the whole family can enjoy. I believe that Christianity is about striving to make Jesus, Lord of every aspect of my life, my behavior and my music. I look forward to working together with you to ensure your “perfect” day is just that. And my prayer is that the best is yet to come, as God‘s Wonders unfold. May Christ Richly Bless You, Joshua Daniel Boyer
FAQSo You Hired a Christian DJ So what does that mean? We don't pray aloud at any shows nor do we preach in between songs. However, there are some external indications of a Christian DJ. For instance, we're very familiar with - and comfortable playing - Christian music, unlike most non-Christian DJs. Some of us call ourselves Christian DJs, and some don't - those are just DJs who are Christians. The most noticeable external characteristic of Christian DJs, though, is this: we conduct ourselves, and our businesses, according to Christian principles. And the most obvious example of this is that we will never knowingly play music with vulgar or profane lyrics, or that has immoral subject matter, or that in any way brings dishonor to God. But more importantly, a Christian DJ is one who has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. So, what does that mean, this personal relationship? You see, Jesus Christ is the son of God. The God. The all-powerful, all-knowing, infinite, supreme God of the universe. And, guess what! He wants to have a relationship with you. And not just any kind of relationship, either. He wants to be your father, your closest friend, your counselor. And He wants you to live with Him after you die! (In Heaven, of course.) Now, how does that work? First, you've got to understand - God is perfect. And He can't stand being around anything that isn't. (Like you and me.) If that's the case, how can we have a relationship with Him? That's where Jesus comes in. Being God's son, He's perfect. No sin. (Sin is the things we've done that are contrary to God's nature.) Romans 3:23 says that "for all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God" . So God sent Jesus into our world, to be one of us (but still without sin). As one of us, then, He could pay the penalty required by God for sin. "For the wages of sin is death,..." (Rom. 6:23) And, being perfect (just like God), His payment was also perfect - and infinite, and complete: He rose from the dead to prove it! Since He had no sin of His own that needed paying for, His death could pay for ours instead. And since the payment was infinite, for He is God, it can apply to everyone who's ever lived or will ever live. But there's a condition. (There's always a catch!) In order for this payment to apply to us, we must accept His terms. And His terms are ... (are you ready for this?) ... belief. Just believe (that is, trust, rely upon) that Jesus paid for your sin when He died. "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes on Him will not perish, but shall have everlasting life." (John 3:16) Seems simple, doesn't it? Well, it is, and it isn't. You've got to give up the idea that you can be good enough on your own to earn God's favor. In fact, you've got to realize that you could never be good enough by your own efforts, no matter what you do. (That's why Jesus had to die to pay for sin - He's the only one who could.) "...for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved." (Acts 4:12) But no matter what you've done, good or bad, Jesus' payment for your sin is available just by trusting in the fact that He made the payment. The Bible calls this "the gift of God" (Eph. 2:8). And, just like any other gift, it's not really yours unless you take possession of it. That's what you do when you believe. Part of that belief is demonstrated by repentance (turning away from all your sin and turning toward God) "So you also must consider yourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus. Let no sin therefore reign in your mortal bodies, to make you obey their passions. Do not present your members to sin as instruments for unrighteousness, but present yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life, and your members to God as instruments for righteousness." (Romans 6:11-13) and also by telling Him and others (called confession) because if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. (Romans 10:9-10) Then follow through in obedience with baptism. And that is what makes you a Christian, and gives you a relationship with Jesus Christ. Now, once you've done this, God is your father. And that sort-of makes Jesus your brother. (But it doesn't make you like God; too bad!) Being in God's family you now have certain privileges, like being able to talk to God (prayer) - and He really listens! He'll also talk to you through His word, the Bible, whenever you read it. And it also comes with certain responsibilities. Since God is your father, He expects you to obey Him - and He has ways of correcting you when you don't. But like a good father, He always has your best interests at heart. You're now related to all other Christians, too, since we're all in God's family. And a really great thing to do is hang out with your fellow Christians. A good place to find them is in a Bible-believing church. (My personal favorite is Hope Christian Church in Columbia, IL and I recommend it highly, but there're lots of others.)
Why am I a Christian DJ?
I accepted God's gift of eternal life about five years ago. I realized that God was pursuing me, as he pursues everyone, and that I needed Him. You see, I finally came to the realization that I, like a wayward child, had chosen to live my life apart from God and thus, had squandered my life like the prodigal son, living in a joyless pattern of sin. I felt the anxiety of hopelessness, feeling there was no way out of the mess I had made. Living with no purpose, in a hole that I could never climb out of. There had to be more to life I thought. One night I cried out to God in the midst of my anxiety. The Amazing thing? He heard me!! He showed me He was real and still very much there. I decided then to give my life to Christ. That's what made me a Christian. Since then, my standards of lifestyle and music have changed. I had to leave some of the other kind of shows I used to play behind. Not that there was something wrong with every one of those places, in and of themselves, but the atmosphere usually was not very conducive to wholesome thoughts. So I decided to do something about it by giving Christians (and non-Christians too) the opportunity to have fun at parties without the negative influences so often found there - By continuing to rock the party, I have now became a Christian DJ. After all, we all need to have fun! Shouldn't we be able to have a good time without exposing ourselves to all the bad things the world's full of? I think so!

But the most important thing to me is will you consider accepting God's gift to you?
If you have, and would like to tell me about it, or if you still have questions, please feel free to email me at: jboyer@cornerstonedjs.com* The form this letter is patterned after is thanks due in part to Al from Sound People. His testimony and letter inspired my own.

| Company history A new business with big dreams and a bigger God. I feel like the Lord has been blessing my business endeavors thus far, and I have only scratched the surface. I struck out on my own as of 2007 and decided to dedicate this offering to Him. My business is not about making money but about using the talents He has given me to glorify Him. I realize He doesn't need my help with this but I have found he will often use me in spite of myself. I am located in Columbia, IL and tailor to the surrounding St.Louis Bi-State area. | | Customer testimonials: Our Wedding DJ Experience
We hired Josh Boyer as our wedding reception DJ We were very pleased with not only the professionalism Josh portrayed, but also with his flexibility, humor, and dedication to make sure our reception was a night we’d remember for a lifetime. Josh called and emailed us several times prior to the wedding to go over all the details. He did his best to find special requests we had. Josh also honored our wishes when we asked him to not play any songs with questionable language, even if those songs were requested by guests. He was creative when he got the reception guests up and out of their seats to participate in “The Chicken Dance” and “The Cha Cha Slide.” Josh had the crowd laughing to tears when the groomsmen and groom lost the dollar dance challenge and were forced to dance to all the moves of “The YMCA.” He worked with our photographer and the reception hall owner to make sure that everything was done in the order we wanted. Josh is truly an amazing, talented DJ who loves his job, loves seeing people have a great time, and truly is a servant of Christ. -Jesse and Rachel Baker; Millstadt, IL
